26.04.08 - Open Garden Event
Following the success of last year's event Chris and Keith Littlewood again opened their garden for PACT on the 26th and 27th April. Delicious homemade baking was provided by PACT families and friends and proved very popular. The garden was beautiful and we were lucky to have good weather on both days. The total amount raised was £1,008.10 which is fantastic.

01.05.08 - Pets Corner
Over 70 children and adults went to Pets Corner or our ever-popular trip. The weather was very kind to us and everyone had a great day. Lunch as usual was provided by Joan Goodman and her friends and was very much appreciated so we would like to send a big thank you to them.
18.05.08 - Grand Plants and Gardens Extravanganza
This was organised by "Plant Aid" and Dronfield Inner Wheel and took place at Ramshaw Lodge, Unstone. Our fundraising committee chair, Martyn Rhodes, went along on behalf of PACT and reported that the car park was full even before the event had opened at 10am. The event was very well supported and it seemed that everyone was coming away with bagfuls of plants. We have been informed that they raised over £14,000 and this money will be divided between PACT and the other four charities supported.
The sponsored motorbike ride from Lands End to John O'Groats by one of our PACT dads Jonathan Bristowe and his colleague has raised over £3,500 so far.
07.09.08 - Annual trip to Drayton Manor
This took take place on Sunday 7th September and we went to Drayton Manor Theme Park and Zoo at Tamworth in Staffordshire. Over 150 went on the trip and although it was raining when we arrived, just in time for the photographs, it soon brightened up. Everyone seemed to have a great day and the new Thomasland was very popular with the younger family members.
07.09.08 - Art in the Gardens
The Floral ImPACT Team ran a fashion show at Art in the Gardens, Sheffield Botanical Gardens on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September. You can see some photos and read more about Art in the Gardens on the flowersforlaura.com website. Both events were very well attended and much appreciated by the audience. Floral-themed raffles were also held and over the weekend the Floral ImPACT team raised over £2,000.
28.09.08 - Gap Event at Meadowhall
On the 27th and 28th of September Gap in Meadowhall held a fundraising marathon event on a treadmill in their store with various teams being sponsored to take part. They also had a stall of PACT promotional items and Christmas cards over the weekend. Some of their managers from other stores came up to the PACT house to do some gardening and heavy lifting for us. We will let you know the amount raised when this is finalised but we wanted to say a big thank you to Gap and their staff, to the teams who took part and particularly to Sarah who organised everything.
