Almost
100 guests attended the evening at Retford Town Hall and were
entertained by 'Musical Interludes' and Rob Allen. Guest of Honour,
Dr Mary Gerrard, addressed the guests together with Mickey Walker
one of our new patrons. The raffle and auction were well supported
and the evening concluded with a disco. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed
themselves and the event raised in excess of £3,500.
November 5th 2007 - Bonfire
Night Party
The Fox and
Hounds pub in Eckington organised children's rides and a bouncy
castle as well as fireworks kindly supplied by Lightwood
Landscapes. Our thanks go to Martin and Hazel for this event which
raised a fantastic £3,200 for PACT.
November 16th and 23rd 2007 -
PACT House Open Days.
These
were a great success as a few of the Ward staff and some PACT
families and their friends came to have a look around the PACT House
together with someone from CHICS
which is PACT's equivalent at Alderhey Hospital. We were also
pleased to welcome a representative from Westfield Health in
Sheffield and we are happy to announce that they were so impressed
with the good work that PACT does that they have sent us a large
donation so that we can "keep up the good
work".
March 1st 2008 - The PACT
Charity Ball
We made the
fantastic sum of £21,400 from this year's Ball at the Cutler's Hall
in Sheffield which is great news. Plans are afoot for next year's
Ball which will be held in May this time.
April
26th and 27th 2008 - Open Garden Event.
Following the success of last year's event Chris and Keith
Littlewood again opened their garden for PACT on the 26th and 27th
April. Delicious homemade baking was provided by PACT families and
friends and proved very popular. The garden was beautiful and we
were lucky to have good weather on both days. The total amount
raised was £1,008.10 which is fantastic.
The sponsored motorbike ride
from Lands End to John O'Groats by
one of our PACT dads Jonathan Bristowe and his colleague has raised
over £3,500 so far.
