You may remember some of these faces from 2024 when #teamjenko started a community that was going to be the biggest support network to them through a tough journey ahead.

In 2024 Ciara (pictured in red) decided to start a running challenge to raise funds for us when we were supporting her brother Owen and her family on their journey. They raised an incredible £29,000!

When Ciara phoned again in 2025 to say she wanted to repeat the run we were sceptical having raised so much the year before.

This year however was different. The family had been given the news that there was no more treatment available for Owen. Throughout his journey Owen had been an inspiration to so many and touched so many lives that this years challenge grew and grew. Everyone wanted to be involved and in the end there were over 300 runners taking part.

Their month long run challenge concluded in Clifton park on the 1st November and sadly Owen died on the 23rd November 2025 surrounded by his family as he had wished.

Today Ciara, Bill and Andrea (his mum and dad) came to visit us to present us with a staggering cheque for £76,098.21 from this years challenge (including gift aid)!!

The legacy that Owen has left behind is just as incredible as he was.

Where do we begin.

This year has been incredible for us. We feel it’s been our biggest year yet.

Not only have we received our toys and money donations, we have received the biggest amount of love and support.

We are truly grateful for each and everyone of you that have supported us, not only this year but previous years too. We really couldn’t do what we do without you.

Yesterday Santa visited the ward with his naughty elves!

Thankfully a lovely mummy sent us some pictures to share with you all.

This year because of all the incredible donations we have received we have been able to give each child on the ward a HUGE sack full of toys!

Charlotte is one of our volunteers and runs Bloom Baby Classes she does whatever she can to support us as we supported her family when Lucas was diagnosed.

We finished a fabulous day with a bit of carol singing!

Well singing might take it a bit far and we don’t think we will be auditioning for next years Britain’s got talent but we gave it a good go!

Earlier this year we were chosen by Mosborough Ladies Group as their charity of the year.

The ladies have collected lots of goodies for the treat trolley over the months and are busy collecting for Christmas.

Sarah went to give a talk to over 70 ladies about what we do as a charity and was presented with a cheque for £900!

Diane Hallewell has been a supporter of PACT since we supported her family when her son was diagnosed with Cancer a number of years ago.

Diane has been nominated in The BIG Christmas Giveback, a competition to recognise local heroes in our community!

Diane has thrown herself out of a plane, rode the biggest zip wire and many other events to raise funds for us. She’s already planning 2026! So far she’s raised over £15,000!

The person or organisation who has the most nominations who will win, so please take a moment to nominate Diane at www.lovelocalwin.co.uk.

The winning person or organisation will win £1000 in Town & City Gift Cards, like the Sheffield City Centre Gift Card, as a prize and one person who nominated them will win a £500 Gift Card! Diane has said she’d use the card to buy more things to raise future funds for us!

The competition closes on the 28th November 2025.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Amy, her husband Marcus and all their family and friends for supporting us with toys this Christmas in memory of their son, Oscar.

Wow! Yet again The Wednesday Week have pulled it out of the bag!

They set out on a mission to gather toiletries at The Sheffield Wednesday FC matches in the most difficult circumstances.

The fans have been incredibly generous again and it shows the community spirit within the club.

With the help of Emm’s Barbers and The Park Hotel who were additional drop off points this year we have managed to make up 30 new family welcome packs! And there’s still more up collect!

Every year in the run up to Christmas we wear a different Christmas t shirt or jumper, this is just the norm for us, anything to put a smile on the childrens faces 😃

You can imagine how happy we were to receive a notification that one of our supporters has taken it a step further and is doing this too for charity to raise funds for us!

Andrew says “I am going to wear a Christmas Jumper all day, every day, for the whole of December. This will include donning the festive garb in all settings, formal and informal. There will be no concessions for temperature, etiquette or decorum. My reputation will not be protected. While I promise that the jumpers will be rotated and (mostly) clean, there will be an unsettling amount of repetition. While I can’t guarantee being jolly at all times, I will be bright. Very bright”

We are pretty sure he will definitely spread some joy!

Zara organised a bake sale at her Nan’s surgery and raised an incredible £600!!! That’s a lot of cake!! 😋🎂🍰

Tommy’s mum said “We decided to split the funds between Tommy and PACT as our way of thanking them for all their help and support and we wanted to give something back to keep up with the fantastic work they do 😍”

Today all the children on the ward received a Halloween bag.

The Halloween bags this year have been created with donations from upperhaughcricketclub and Jude and the Book Factory

This year as part of our action PACT Christmas we are pleased to be able to offer collections.

‘Dads club’ is a group that has over 150 dads in the community of Sheffield and they have kindly offered their services to collect the gifts from your home within the Sheffield area.

If you would like us to collect your donations then you can ring the office to book a slot on the following dates between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

November 14, 17, 21, 24th

Please ring 0114 2724570 and we will try our best and accommodate a date and time to suit you. These must be booked by the 7th November so we can plan their routes.
